The Porcelain Veneers Process
Planning | During your first visit, you will take an active role in designing your new smile with Dr. Sheridan. He will become familiar with your needs and help you choose the most efficient route to a stunning smile.
Impressions | Dr. Sheridan will take impressions of the teeth and send them to our dental lab. He may provide you with a temporary veneer so that you can enjoy a beautiful smile while you wait for your final appointment.
Preparation |Dr. Sheridan will also remove approximately a half millimeter of the tooth’s enamel to create space for the dental veneer. This should be a comfortable process, but it may be accompanied by local anesthesia if desired.
Permanent Bonding | After your veneers have been crafted, Dr. Sheridan will check the fit and color of your porcelain veneer. He can make any necessary adjustments before bonding the veneer to the tooth. To bond the veneers, he uses a specialized cement and a beam of light to give you long-lasting results.
